SCU Shotokan Karate after a competition (24-25)

For over 50 years, the Santa Clara University Shotokan Karate club has been training dedicated students in this Japanese-based martial arts form.

I was a part of the SCU Shotokan Karate team since my sophomore year (2023-2026). This was not the first time I had taken karate, as I had done a South Korean style of martial art called Kuk Sool Won while in middle school. Now, more than 4 years later, I trained in the Japanese Shotokan style with a very supportive dojo, and made my way from white belt to purple belt.

Web Management

Starting my junior year (2024-2026), I took on the role of Secretary, which meant managing the club's website and social media. Using TerminalFour, I updated roster, competition, leadership and contact info. I also replaced outdated images with new ones and reworded information if necessary.

Social Media

My main responsibility as Secretary meant posting on the club's Instagram. Below is a gallery of all the post content I made for the club.
